STM TREK MAJOR SYSTEM MAP INFORMATION

The STM A and B Trek Major System maps are two maps utilizing Fyron's Quadrant Mod for use with Atrocities Star Trek Mod.

STM A Trek Major Systems Map is desinged so that all race starting homeplanets are the same size for balance in PBW games or otherwise.

STM B Trek Major Systems Map is the same as the first except that all homeworld planets are of different size. I did this to boost some of the AI and simulate that not all races where warp capable all at once in the Star Trek Universe. By giving some races larger homeworlds there is a boost in research and resources which can simulate a more advanced race at game start. With this boost it is my hopes that some of the computer races will be a greater challenge throughout the entire game.

Major points of the Map:

I tried to acheive as accurate of a layout of the Star Trek Galaxy according to "Star Trek Star Charts" by Geoffrey Mandel, "Star Trek the Worlds of the Federation" by Shane Johnson, and "The Star Trek Encyclopedia Updated and Expanded Edition" by Michael Okuda and Denise Okuda. There are a few discrepancies between the material so there are a few instances where I went with popular opinion.

There are starting homeworlds for the major races that have .EMP files and most have an accurate representation of their surrounding systems. See the "Read Me" for order in which I placed homeworlds.

There are starting homeworlds for the 8 minor Races and they are placed in approximate locations throughout the Galaxy. Their homeworlds are tagged as "any" which means that any race that breaths that atomsphere and shares the same planet will randomly start there.

Most of the neutral races also have homeplanets and these are tagged as "any" as well.

There are several planets throughout the Galaxy that have special qualities or ruins to simulate that a particular race onced lived on a planet or would mutually coexist(no actual game game effect, just game ambience) with a colonizing race.

Many unique systems featured in Canon Star Trek and some that I made up. Several systems that at game start are ordinary but by mid to late game will become of great interest. I did this to keep the game interesting throughout its duration. No more finding all the planets with ruins early in the game and no more exploring. KEEP EXPLORING!

*Note*

Some unique planet abilities are for background interest only. I tried to simulate some of these planet abilities as best as I could in other ways.

Some planets say that there is a prewarp or warp capable race inhabiting a planet. This is strictly to make a planet more interesting and will not affect game play.
